Membership and billing
Walt membership is optional and costs €3 per month, billed monthly. It is a way to support the project while it is being built. This current optional subscription will be in place while Walt is still in development. Once tap-to-pay goes live, subscriptions will be required. Payments are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your receipt and appears on your statement.
The membership is an ongoing, indefinite-term subscription that you can cancel at any time. It is not a fixed-term contract that auto-renews.
To cancel a subscription, visit the subscription page. Enter the email used to sign up for the subscription. A subscription management link will be sent to your email where you can modify or cancel your subscription. Cancelling stops the next monthly charge. We do not pro-rate or refund the unused part of a month already paid.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal when you start a membership. If you cancel within 14 days of your first charge, we refund it in full.
Supervisory authorities
Data protection in Denmark is supervised by Datatilsynet, Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark.
Payment services are not yet active in the Walt app and are pending regulatory review. When introduced, the relevant supervisory authority will be listed here.
